Just when it seemed this match was heading for overtime, Boulevard's two goal hero Tekeyhi Walker pounced onto a Keith Jennings' rebound to give his team a 2-1 win and send the Blazers through to the First Division Shield final.

In the process Boulevard finally discovered a means of getting by a persistent Parish, who they had battled to a 1-1 draw with in December.

However, last night the Blazers were not to be denied, their speedy, youthful, forwards having the more seasoned Parish backline of Damon Edwards, Dale Brangman and Chris Caisey Sr. constantly on the run.

Parish were not without their moments and had either Irving Burgess' cross from out on the left that hit the near post gone in or Tareek Caisey's subsequent header not been cleared away from danger, things may have been a little different.

However, Boulevard when in possession, always looked more organised in advancing forward and with Leonard Hypolite in command of the midfield it was just a matter of time before they broke through.

At the other end, Parish's wiry forward Burgess and Sean Dill worked tirelessly but just could not seem to penetrate a Blazers defence marshalled by Leroy Stevens and company.

Parish's Leon Raynor caused some anxieties for Blazers during the latter stages of the half, when his low cross from out on the right flank rolled across the goalmouth, while Irving Romaine was unfortunate in having his thunderous volley go just wide of the upright.

Parish had another golden opportunity moments before the half-time whistle when Blazers ‘keeper Shejuan Swan was adjudged to have stepped out of his box with the ball.

However, from the resulting kick Neil ‘Diamond' Robinson's outswinging cross went untouched, to send the teams into the break scoreless.

Whatever Blazers' coach John Rebello said to his side during the interval had immediate effect, Jennings, Walker and Michael Parsons proving to be a handful in the second-half.

They finally found the breakthrough in the 55th minute when Walker rammed the ball into the net from five yards after Jennings' initial shot was parried into his path.

However, just five minutes later Parish were level. Damon Edwards, as usual, making no mistake from the spot after Burgess was felled.

Play increased to a feverish pitch as both teams went in search of the winner.

But it would be Boulevard who would advance, Walker on hand again in the 85th minute to redirect yet another Jennings' rebound past the hapless Dwayne Astwood in the Parish goal.
