Bank to advise entrepreneurs
Budding entrepreneurs wondering where to go to get advice on how to start up in business or how to expand their existing business should take note of two free evening information sessions at either end of the Island being held this month.
Butterfield Bank has arranged for the public sessions in St. George's and Somerset as a way of helping those who want to set-up or expand in the world of business.
A team of professionals from the bank, including head of business banking Taiwo (Tee) Ogunyemi and business banking manager Lucy Mello will offer advice at the sessions.
The presentations are to inform the community's business owners about how the bank can help them, said Mr. Ogunyemi.
"We are already taking care of a significant number of small business on the Island," he said. "However, we want the community to recognise the availability of their very own retail business development managers at our St. George's and Somerset branches."
The sessions will be hosted by Paul Elliott and Stephen Todd, who are retail business development managers at St. George's and Somerset branches respectively.
Both presentations will be held from 7 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. The St. George's date is Tuesday, March 20 and will be held in Somers Lounge at the St. George's Club and anyone wishing to register should contact Paul Elliott on 294-2011 or email paulelliott@bntb.bm
The Somerset presentation is the following evening at St. James Church hall and to register contact Stephen Todd on 278-5822 or email stephentodd@bntb.bm
