Warwick has a new hardware store, following the grand opening of Sargasso Supplies on Saturday.

The store is located in the Middle Road premises formerly occupied by Fisher's Hardware.

Sargasso is part of the Liquid Group of companies, which also comprises ClearWater Systems, CoffeeWorks Bermuda and IslandWide Plumbing.

Premier Ewart Brown turned out, together with local MP and Sports Minister El James to officially open the store.

Liquid Group marketing counsel Andrew Mackay said the store, which will be open seven days a week, was a natural fit with the group's other businesses.

"It started because ClearWater Systems and IslandWide Plumbing had trouble finding quality plumbing and mechanical fittings," Mr. Mackay said. "So we started it for ourselves."

When the former home of Fisher's became available, Mr. Mackay said the Group decided it would make a good venue for Sargasso.
