International insurers on rise
months to August 31, the Registrar of Companies said yesterday.
At January 1, the number of international insurers was 1,401 with 45 additions and 20 removals resulting in a total of 1,426 at August 31.
A year earlier, there were 1,388 international insurers registered with 56 additions and 25 removals over the eight month period.
For last August, four companies were added compared to six in August of 1995.
