Ozone night-club to hold closing sale this weekend
Hamilton’s Ozone night-club will hold a closing sale tomorrow and Saturday to sell off electrical and bar equipment.
A club staff member said yesterday he could not confirm whether the sale indicates the club is closing for good. Co-owner of the club Gary Sheppard was unavailable for comment yesterday.
An advertisement published in yesterday’s edition of The Royal Gazette stated that the sale would be held on Friday and Saturday, between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
For sale are audio, lighting and DJ equipment, as well as 42-inch plasma televisions, office equipment, glass washers, fridges, cocktail tables, glassware and bar stools.
Ozone, on the third floor of the Emporium Building on Front Street, was previously put up for sale in 2003 by partners Mr. Sheppard, Damian Payne, Jason Bracewell and Simon Carruthers.
And in 2004 its owners said it had been hit hard by the ban on gaming machines, which caused the club to shed two employees and reduce its opening hours.
