Church hall plan turned down
associated day care, and a parking lot rejected by the Development Applications Board.
The DAB said it refused the New Testament Church of God, on Cedar Hill, application because board members were unconvinced the site was large enough to house the project.
And the Board said it was not satisfied with details like the arrangements made for pedestrians.
In other applications, the Board approved the Richmond Company' application for a change of use for a Devonshire doctor's facility. The site will be changed into a nursery school for 60 children.
The approval was based on condition that the hours of operation be between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., and that a separate application be submitted for a building permitted for the structural changes.
And the DAB granted Speaker of the House of Assembly Ernest DeCouto permission to change the use of the ground floor of a building on Victoria Street for retail purposes.
But the DAB said a separate application for a building permit had to be submitted.
