My very best fishing story
Uncle Dale in their red-and-white fishing boat. It was sunny but the sea was rough. After we put the anchor overboard we caught a little bit of fish. Then the fishing went quiet so we moved to another spot. We saw a big hammerhead bigger then my Daddy. We caught some robins and tried to put one on a big hook to catch the hammerhead but it did not work. Then we moved back to the same spot. My uncle Victor put a little line over with a little hook and when I went to sleep they said, "Where are you going?'' I replied, "I am going to sleep!'' I fell soundly to sleep. Then Uncle Victor pulled the line and thought it was a rock! When he pulled it up he said "Get the gar hook!'' He looked down at the big rockfish, and then when I woke up my Uncle Dale said, "Look in the box!'' and I said, "That is a big fish!'' It was night time and a lot of people where down at the dock. When we parked by the dock we lifted the huge fish up. My Uncle Victor said to my Daddy,'' Get the scale and see how much this humungous fish weighs!'' It weighed 79 lbs! When they took it down they cleaned the very big fish.
when we cleaned the big fish and gutted it we put it back on the scale and it weighed 65 lbs. The people on the dock were taking pictures of the very humongous rockfish! After that we went home.
