Kavin Smith and Jennifer Fisher's domination of the 1995 cross-country season continued on Saturday as both ran away to convincing wins in the third event

On an undulating five-lap five-mile course at Hog Bay Park in Somerset, Smith lapped more than half the field on his way to an unchallenged victory.

Smith finished in 25 minutes, 42 seconds, almost two minutes clear of second-placed Errol Cormack (27.33). Tracy Wright placed third in 28.21 followed by Paul Edness (28.35), Rory Gorman (29.02) and leading Master Harry Patchett (29.22).

Fisher's win over a three-lap course was equally conclusive as she clocked 19.06 compared to second-placed Penelope Butterfield's 20.52. Maria Payne placed third in 21.40 followed by Georgia Belboda (21.46) and Melanie Claude (22.02).

JUNIOR SOCCER Wolves 2 Dandy Town 2 (Wolves won 5-4 on penalties) Wolves snatched victory from the jaws of defeat during this drama-filled Junior KO Cup match at Somerset on Sunday.

At the end it was a simple penalty kick that separated the two teams with Wolves marching on towards their next encounter.

For Wolves the match was akin to a roller coaster ride as after surging ahead 1-0 in the 17th minute, courtesy of the first of two John Barry Nusum strikes, they were placed in a secondary role by the Hornets.

After Shakai Whitter drew Town level in the 33rd minute the boys in brown and gold were rewarded with a go-ahead goal from Marlon Symonds after 58 minutes.

Nusum, however, hit his second four minutes from the end of regulation time to send the match into a penalty kick decider.
