Robert W.C. Washington of Hill View Road, Karyn D. Moniz and Gary McCluskey were all accused of being in possession of cocaine intended for supply during September, 1992 and March, 1993.

But charges were dropped against McCluskey and Moniz failed to appear in court.

Washington pleaded guilty to handling a controlled drug intended for supply on March 22, 1993, after four other drug charges were dropped.

The court heard that in October, Moniz requested permission to visit her father's family in the US for an important function.

The woman's lawyer Mr. Delroy Duncan said Insp. Jackson at the Police Station appeared to agree that there would be no problem with Moniz travelling overseas.

"In February an officer contacted me and said that Karyn Moniz was no longer on the Island,'' Mr. Duncan said.

"I called all the numbers she had given me which included her boyfriend's and there was no evidence that she was still here.

"I have no information about her whereabouts and provide no other explanation to the court.'' Puisne Judge the Hon. Mrs. Justice Wade ordered a warrant for her arrest.

And she remanded Washington in custody until sentencing on April 8.
