Memorial for late Governor

A memorial service for the late Sir Desmond Langley, former Bermuda Governor, will take place on Wednesday, April 30, at St. John's Church in Pembroke, Government House has announced.

Sir Desmond, who was Governor of Bermuda from 1988 to 1992, was in his late 70s when he succumbed to cancer in February at his home in England. The service will begin at 4 p.m. and anyone wishing to celebrate Sir Desmond's life is invited to attend.

His funeral service was held in England on March 7. Sir Desmond's widow, Lady (Flick) Langley is expected to attend the memorial service in Bermuda.
