Brian Morris, outgoing and friendly, is Docksider's senior bartender and bar manager.

The vibrant 32 year old does not drink and has worked in his profession for eight years. He started bartending several years ago on a part time work gig with his uncle running Bermuda Island Cruises around Hawkins Island.

"My favourite aspect of my work is meeting all the people which come through.

It always astonishes me when repeat tourists come back year after year. They will come in and say to me `Hey, Brian, how are you?' I don't always remember everyone but they remember me,'' he said with a chuckle.

Having a good rapport with one's boss is always a plus and he has a lot of admiration for his bosses at Docksider. Brian has known Reed Young since he was five years old. He feels they have a successful work team and everyone pulls together.

Keeping his customers happy is sometimes demanding when the bar is jammed but he manages to keep the bar service fast and efficient.

"The most popular drinks are the pitchers of beer or Swizzle. I have my own special concoction called, `AFU for all freaked up' composed of 10 liquors,'' he said.

They also offer non-alcoholic drinks like St. Pauli Beer, home made virgin fruit punch, soft drinks and Evian.

He said they are getting more upscale in their sophisticated "Back Bar'' and are serving a lot of Ports and champagne during the evenings.

"We have local musicians playing jazz in `The Back Bar' and even when we don't have a live musician the music sounds terrific with our new sound system.'' In his spare time Brian plays golf with a passion. Lots of the Front Street bartenders get together and play golf in the afternoons.

Brian is a talented dart player and represents Bermuda every year in the Caribbean Dart Championships.
