Butterfield Bank shares rise 0.8%

Butterfield Bank shares improved 35 cents, or 0.8 per cent, to $33.25 after 3,227 traded on the Royal Gazette/BSX Index.
On the New York Stock Exchange, the bank’s shares were up 57 cents, or 1.72 per cent, at $33.65.
On the local exchange there was also trading in 89,000 shares of BF&M Ltd, but with no change to the closing price of $21.
The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was up 13.41 points, or 0.59 per cent, at 2,291.75, while the BSX Insurance Index fell 2.61 points, or 0.15 per cent, to 1,697.31.
