Tracy leads locals in NY Marathon

That was Brett Forgesson, whose time of 2:49.02 put him in 266th place overall.

Luc Laurent clocked 2:54.28 to finish 405th, while Manuel Lopes, 40, was just 27 seconds slower, ending in 426th place.

The only other Bermudian to complete the course in the top 1,000 was Colin Swan, whose time of 3:04.27 placed him 883rd overall.

The fastest woman from the Island was Claire Cove, 28, from St George's. She finished in 3:36.55 to place 4,577th overall and 434th in the women's race.

Husband Patrick was just over 16 minutes faster with a time of 3:20.51.

Family trio Michael, Mary Jane and Carol Gutteridge crossed the line within six minutes of one another, the male member of the threesome, failing to break the four hour barrier by a tenth of a second.

Michael, 32, finished in 4:00.10, ahead of 34-year-old Mary Jane, who clocked 4:02.42 and Carol, 30, who completed the course in 4:06.15.

Elsewhere, 48-year-old Bacardi executive secretary Catherine Cattell completed her first marathon in 5:46.40 -- leaving her 29,514th overall.
