A private school has launched a careers webinar series in an effort to help former pupils find a job, change careers or advance in their field.

Denise McAdoo, the director of advancement at Saltus Grammar School, said: “The job-search landscape has changed drastically in the last year and Saltus wants to be a resource for our alumni.

“Recruiter’s criteria are changing rapidly and this three-part webinar series is a great opportunity for our alumni to connect with HR professionals to learn new skills, identify and articulate strengths and learn networking skills that will last a lifetime.”

Each event stands alone, and registration is open to the entire Saltus community including all Saltus alumni.

The series, hosted by Kijuan Wilkinson, a recruiting professional, launched on Tuesday with a session on introductions, resumes and cover letter writing.

The series will continue next Tuesday with a session on job interviews featuring Lorrie Peniston, a psychotherapist, trainer and parent of a former pupil at the school.

The final session, to be held on March 2, will focus on social media strategies, branding and networking and will feature a panel discussion with recruitment and HR professionals.
