The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index yesterday gained 39.38 points to close at 2,827.99.

The Bank of Bermuda, which earlier this week launched a secondary listing on the Nasdaq, dominated trading with 8,430 shares trading and a price gain of $1 to close at $49.

Bank of Butterfield shares moved up 35 cents to $33.85 while 1,361 shares changed hands.

Insurance company BF&M also posted a marginal gain of five cents, with 3,800 shares and a closing price of $9.80.
