BSX jumps 27 points

Bank of Bermuda shares stayed static yesterday at $49 despite trading more than 5,000 shares yesterday. The stock had been rising after listing on Nasdaq on Tuesday, but remained stable at close of trade. On the Nasdaq, the shares closed at $49.99.

Bank of Butterfield gained $1.15 to close at $35 and Devonshire industries gained 33.3 percent or $3.00 to close at $12.

These gains pushed The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange index up by nearly one percent or 27.09 points to a new all time high of 2,855.08.

$388,965.50 worth of shares changed hands.
