The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index gained 13 points yesterday to close at 4,428.37.

On a quiet day of trading Butterfield Bank rose 25 cents to close at $57.50 as investors traded in 900 shares and Bermuda Commercial Bank gained 10 cents to close at $8.25 on a volume of 6,700 shares.

The only trading activity saw 128 Belco shares change hands to close unchanged at $38.

The total value of the shares bought and sold on the BSX yesterday was $111,889.00 and the overall volume of shares was 7,728.
