BSX jumps 92 points as bank gains

The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index gained 92.13 points or 3.52 points yesterday to close at 2,709.37. A total of 11,400 shares worth $234,200 were traded.
The only three stocks to be traded were all in the banking sector.
The Bank of Bermuda gained $2.90 or 6.9 percent to close at $45 on volume of 800 shares. On the Nasdaq, it was unchanged at $45.75.
The Bank of Butterfield remained unchanged at $32.75 despite volume of 4,800 shares.
Bermuda Commercial Bank gained 25 cents or 3.7 percent to close at $7 on volume of 5,800 shares.
