Raynor yesterday told the court that he never intended to harm the officer.“The police had the road blocked off because of an accident and you knocked down a police officer and then led them on a long chase, driving in a dangerous manner,” said Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner. He fined Raynor $2,000 for assaulting Insp Hull, $500 for dangerous driving and another $500 for failing to stop for police. Raynor was ordered to pay the fines in full by February 14.
