unsuccessful attempt to snatch her handbag outside the Princess Hotel in Hamilton on Saturday afternoon.

According to Police a 25-year-old Devonshire man is assisting with inquiries into the incident which took place on Pitts Bay Road, outside the hotel entrance.

The woman was hurt after a man riding a motorcycle roared up behind her and tried to take her shoulder bag.

According to a Police report, the owner of the Cove Valley house had put a duffel bag containing the cash into a closet on Wednesday night before going to bed.

At 2 a.m. on Thursday, a woman was seen in house and asked to leave. Later that day it was discovered that the duffel bag and cash were missing.

HANDBAG SNATCHER TARGETS VISITORS CRM Handbag snatcher targets visitors Two visitors reported to Police the theft of handbags from their room at Astwood Cove Guest House in Warwick.

Police said the visitors returned to their room around 3.a.m. and went to bed.

The following day they found their room had been entered while they slept and two handbags were stolen.

Some of the property was thought to have been recovered by staff of the guest house.

The thief was wearing a white baseball cap.
