Breaking News: Jury finds husband guilty of chopping wife's lover

A Jamaican man who claimed he found his wife in bed with her lover was today found guilty of chopping the man with a kitchen knife.

Thisley “Thunder” Dawson had denied wounding Gregory Campbell, 31, on May 25, 2009.

A nine-woman, three-man jury today found him not guilty of wounding with intent, but guilty of the lesser charge of unlawful wounding.

Mr. Campbell, who is also a Jamaican, said of the Supreme Court verdict: “I am not pleased with that. Everything that he says is a lie.”

Dawson was remanded into custody until a sentencing date can be fixed.
