Firefighters rush to Sandys house fire

A Bermuda Fire Services spokesman reported that a call came in at 11.33 a.m.and four appliances and 14 personnel rushed to a two-storey home on Malabar Road in Sandys.
End yesterday morning.

Smoke was coming from the top floor and firefighters had to wear breathing apparatus when they went into the building to extinguish the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
In other news from the Bermuda Fire Service, emergency medical technicians responded to an alert at the Airport at 1 p.m.
The medical emergency involved a diabetic passenger on board an aeroplane who was having respiratory problems and the EMT's administered oxygen.
