Mr. Peter Fryman has taken the writ out against Fantasea Diving.

His wife Mrs. Eileen Fryman died from "sea water drowning'' on her first scuba dive off Bermuda on April 22, last year.

Medical secretary Mrs. Fryman, from Beckenham in Kent, was on vacation at the time with her husband and their daughter Abigail.

She was scuba diving supervised by Fantasea Diving when she got into difficulty 50 feet from the boat. Despite efforts to revive her on the boat she died.

At an inquest into her death in February, Coroner the Wor. John Judge delivered a verdict of "accidental death''.

But he called for Bermuda's aqualung and diving regulations to meet acceptable international standards.

Mr. Fryman's lawyer Mr. Justin Williams confirmed the writ and an injunction against owner Mr. Michael Heslop.
