City Hall newsletter given fresh appeal

Newsletter: City Hall in Hamilton has relaunched its online newsletter (File photograph)

The City of Hamilton today relaunched its electronic newsletter with a new look.

The CityZen will feature new sections such as “instagrammable spots in the city” alongside its lists of city events and job openings.

The newsletter, which was put on hold for two months for a redesign, will also include a “History Corner” and “Behind the City”, which will profile staff at the Corporation of Hamilton.

Sideya Dill, the City’s marketing co-ordinator, said: “Our goal was to reformulate The CityZen to create engaging, meaningful, relevant and visually vibrant subject matter.

“For those who aren’t as active on social media, where the City provides many of its updates, we encourage you to sign up to The CityZen and be ‘in the know’ about all things happening in your city.”

Ms Dill said that The CityZen will also have a section dedicated to the promotion of new businesses.

Space will also be made available for free advertising established businesses.

Copies of The CityZen will be e-mailed to subscribers on the first Friday of every month.
