By Marina MelloThe Reefs has promoted Helen Bryan to manager of La Serena Spa.As spa manager, she will oversee daily operations and the team of therapists at the eight-room full-service Elemis spa.A spa professional with 11 years’ experience, Ms Bryan joined La Serena in October 2010 as a lead therapist.Previously, she was the lead beauty therapist at Willow Stream Spa at the Fairmont Southampton.Ms Bryan has also worked as a beauty therapist on Royal Caribbean Cruise ships.“Helen’s leadership skills, commitment to service and knowledge of Elemis made her an excellent choice to lead La Serena,” said The Reefs general manager Nagma Walker.Since it reopened in fall 2009, La Serena Spa has been featured two consecutive years on the Condé Nast Traveler Top Spas list and in July 2011, was named among the World’s Best Hotel Spas by Travel + Leisure.“The guest experience has played a key role in our success, and I want to continue to build upon our reputation and create more awareness both internationally and in Bermuda,” Ms Bryan said.“One tool that we will be embracing is social media, which allows us to continue the relationships and dialogue with our guests in between appointments.
