The Evolution of Silvo Art opens tomorrow at the Samadhi Spa at Newstead.The exhibit will feature work by Mike DeSilva.The former printer first worked with ink to create his art.“I have been introducing new mediums such as acrylics and oils, although I am still continuing to use lithographic ink as well,” he said.“I am very excited about my unique medium and look forward to showing the public my art from the soul.He said he chose the title because of the many changes in his life.“As people we are constantly changing throughout our lives as our situations and surroundings change.“With my type of art it’s from the soul and always evolving to a different level.“I get inspired in many ways such as meeting new people, thinking of family, or just seeing the beauty of the Island while riding my bicycle.”Mr DeSilva’s son Aaron is flying in from Canada to perform an acoustic set at the show opening.“He has been a musician for many years and I am very excited for him to share his talent here in Bermuda.”The exhibit opening takes place tomorrow from 6pm to 9pm.
