Truck crash driver was hurt
Police have released further details on an overturned truck, which caused lengthy tailbacks on Friday.
The incident, in North Shore Road near the junction of Store Hill, led to delays for motorists in the Smith's area between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.
A Bermuda Police Service spokesman said the driver was heading east when he "lost control and collided with an embankment, causing the vehicle to overturn".
"As a result the eastbound and westbound lanes were blocked by the truck and by the load of rubble it was carrying, which spilled across the road," he said. "This caused traffic to be diverted as well as traffic delays in the area."
The truck driver, a 35-year-old man from Sandys, was uninjured but was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital as a precaution. The truck sustained minor damage.
