Bermuda, and David Hemp in particular, continued to rip up the record books on the final day of the four-day Intercontinental Cup match against Holland at the L.C.DeVilliers Oval in Pretoria this morning.

Hemp, unbeaten on 218, completed his highest-ever first class score and became the first Bermuda player to compile a first class double century as the team went into lunch on 549 for seven, their highest-ever international score and the second biggest in competition history.

However, the game was drifting towards a predictable draw with Bermuda, 171 runs ahead on first innings, needing to declare and bowl the Dutch out in today's final two sessions.

Also at the wicket was Dwayne Leverock, unbeaten on 39 - his best-ever first class innings.

And the unbeaten eighth wicket partnership between Hemp and Leverock, currently on 111, was also a new Bermuda record, eclipsing the previous best of 67 set by Clay Smith and Leverock, and Smith and Hasan Durham, in matches against Kenya.

Bermuda's only casualty in the morning session was Saleem Mukuddem who fell in the fourth over just 10 runs short of what would have been his maiden first class century.

After a record seventh-wicket partnership of 219 with Hemp, Mukuddem was caught behind by Jeroen Smits off Daan van Bunge for 90, although he clearly felt he hadn't touched the ball.
