Scott named CEO designate of BAS

Bermuda Aviation Services (BAS) has appointed Wayne Scott as vice-president and chief executive officer designate of CCS Group Ltd.

With the help of the present CEO of CCS, Rob Loxton, BAS said it was keen to attract a suitably qualified and experienced Bermudian to the post. Mr. Scott will take up his new role on December 1, 2008.

Mr. Loxton will be leaving BAS after a tenure under which it experienced large and sustainable growth.

Mr. Scott holds an MA in Finance and Management, a BSc. in Computer Science, an AS in Programming and most recently completed the Wharton School, Certificate of Professional Development Programme.

He also has more than 21 years experience in information technology and the telecommunications industry, with extensive experience of working overseas and most recently as chief technology officer at Logic Communications.

The president of Bermuda Aviation Services Ltd., Ken Joaquin, said: "Mr. Scott is a welcomed addition to our executive management team. We are privileged to have found a Bermudian of his calibre to join us and we are confident that his extensive industry experience will serve him and the company well going forward."
