Premier Ewart Brown claimed former Auditor General Larry Dennis "politicised" his job.

Speaking on 'Let's Talk Bermuda' with ZBM reporter Gary Moreno this week, Dr. Brown spoke of the differences between Mr. Dennis and the new AG Heather Jacobs-Matthews.

"I don't want to comment at length on the previous Auditor General but I do believe at times he politicised his job. If in fact the Auditor General finds something in consistent or irregular, he or she has a right to investigate it."

When Mr. Moreno said Mrs. Jacobs-Mathews was just as scathing as Mr. Dennis in her reports, Dr. Brown said: "You will notice a difference. You will notice that Mrs. Jacobs-Matthews is concise and clearer and she hasn't woven her political feeling into her statements."

Asked if Mr. Dennis did his job, Dr. Brown said: "I think Mr. Dennis was doing his job, plus."
