Windy weekend as watch is kept on Hurricane Tomas
Strong winds are predicted for Bermuda over the coming days.
And Hurricane Tomas is considered a "potential threat" to the Island, according to the Bermuda Weather Service.
At press time, the storm's closest point of approach was early next week.
However, a cold front expected to pass over the Island on Sunday night will deliver a cloudy and windy weekend.
Hurricane Tomas was predicted to reach category two strength this morning and weaken into a tropical storm at its closest point to Bermuda roughly 250 miles south of the Island.
Meteorologist Ken Smith said: "Its closest point of approach to us is expected to be [8 a.m.] Tuesday morning. But this could change and its status could change. I wouldn't be surprised to see significant change to this forecast."
