Appleby announces four promotions

Alison Dyer-Fagundo

Appleby promoted Alison Dyer-Fagundo to partner and Myles Flint, Alisdair Lynch and Doug Molyneux to counsel in the Bermuda office.

Overall, the firm has admitted four lawyers into partnership and five to counsel.

Ms Dyer-Fagundo is a member of the telecommunications technology and intellectual property team within the corporate and commercial practice group. She specialises in advising on private and public offerings, merger and acquisition matters, and structuring of private telecommunications holding and operating companies.

Ms Dyer-Fagundo was educated in Canada and the UK and received her LLB from the University of Kent at Canterbury in 1998, completing the Legal Practice Course with Commendation at the BPP Law School in London, England in 1999 and was called to the Bermuda Bar after completing her pupillage the following year.

Mr. Flint is a member of the funds and investment services team within the corporate and commercial practice group. His specialisation is in advising on the structuring of investment funds, hedge funds and mutual funds.

Prior to joining the Appleby Group, Mr. Flint was employed with Threadneedle Asset Management Limited, Part of Ameriprise Inc., in the UK as in-house counsel and was in private practice, both on and offshore (Jersey twice, Guernsey and the Turks & Caicos Islands, BWI) over an 11-year period prior to that.

Mr. Lynch is a member of the banking and asset finance team within the corporate and commercial practice group. Prior to that, he held the position of Senior Counsel of corporate while employed at the Amey plc. group of companies in London.

He attended the University of Central Lancashire and completed the Diploma in Law and the Legal Practice Certificate at the College of Law, Store Street, being admitted to the Law Society of England and Wales in 1999, and he is a non-practicing member of the Law Society of England and Wales as well as being called to the Bermuda Bar in 2008.

Mr. Molyneux is a member of both the funds and investment services and the telecommunications and technology teams within the corporate and commercial practice group. He practices in the area of company/commercial law, having worked in the UK, Ireland, South Africa, Hong Kong, Bermuda and North America.
