Welcome mat rolled out for CD&P's Alderson
Pearman lawyer was called to the Bar.
Canadian David Keith Alderson joins CD&P after working in Toronto and London.
The 42 year old is a graduate of York University's Osgoode Hall where he gained a Bachelor of Laws in 1980.
Mr. Alderson, introduced by CD&P partner Robin Mayor, did his pupillage at Murtry, Percival, and Brown in Toronto, where he worked after being called to the Canadian Bar in April, 1982.
Puisne Judge Norma Wade-Miller heard that in 1986 Mr. Alderson moved to the United Kingdom and gained a Master's degree from the University of London.
He worked as a solicitor in Britain until joining CD&P in 1997 where he works in the litigation department specialising in marine insurance and reinsurance.
He told Mrs. Justice Wade-Miller he looked forward to appearing before her and thanked CD&P partner Narinder Hargun and Mrs. Mayor.
He said: "I stand before your ladyship with mixed feelings of pride and humility.'' He added he had received a warm welcome "as is the Bermudian way''.
