prices have caused Belco's fuel adjustment to increase from 3.4698 cents per kilowatt hour to 4.0482 cents.

The new rate approved by the Price Control Commission, has taken effect and, according to Belco, will run until further notice.

The 4.0282 rate is the second highest for the year. In May as many countries suffered a shortage of crude oil, the adjustment clause rose to 4.1641 cents per kilowatt hour.

The lowest adjustment rate for the year was 2,6304 cents. It was seen in January.
