Police investigate video threats

A threatening video aimed at members of the public, including police officers, is under investigation.

A police spokesman said the clip, circulating on social media, was being treated “seriously” and advised anyone receiving the video to delete it instead of sharing it.

The spokesman added: “Early indications are the individual seen in the video is currently overseas.”

The BPS is looking into the source of the clip.

Anyone with information on the person featured is asked to call 211, the main police number 295-0011, or the independent and confidential Crime Stoppers number, 800-8477.
