at an injured inmate being brought back from hospital.

The man had been accidentally burned on the face and protestors felt he should have stayed for treatment longer, said Prisons Commissioner Mr. Edward Dyer.

Their fears were calmed yesterday morning when the man met them and assured them he was OK.

The prisoner was burned when an oven "backfired'', said Mr. Dyer. When he was brought back from King Edward VII Memorial Hospital some inmates were worried about his appearance.
