drugs was sent to prison yesterday for six years.

Deborah Williams -- who was represented by lawyer Victoria Pearman -- pleaded guilty to importing 745 grams of cannabis and 119 grams of cocaine with a purity of 72 percent on February 2.

Puisne Judge Norma Wade sentenced her to four and six year concurrent sentences for the cannabis and cocaine respectively.

The court heard that Williams, 38, arrived in Bermuda on a US commercial flight with two pieces of luggage.

During the local customs inspection she was taken to a search room and strip searched as a result of her response to questions asked.

Three taped packages were found around her waist, concealed underneath her corset, said Crown Counsel Charlene Scott.

The packages were probed and two were found to contain plant material while the third was filled with white powder.

Williams told Police officers that the substances were cannabis and cocaine intended for her own personal use. She was arrested on suspicion of importing a controlled drug.

SCHOOL HIT BY FIREBOMBS FIR School hit By firebombs Broken glass and soot covered pavements greeted the janitor at Devon Lane School yesterday morning.

It appears that a number of firebombs were thrown at the school overnight last Thursday which resulted in fire and smoke damage to a large area of one of the buildings at the school.

Broken glass was strewn on some of the concrete steps leading up from the main office building and there was also blackened and damaged paint work on one of the doors in another area of the main office building.
