Police are investigating after four thugs invaded a Friswells Road, Pembroke residence with bladed weapons, injuring an occupant and damaging the home and a vehicle.

Police received the reported disturbance around 3.40 yesterday morning. Apparently, at around 3.20, four men turned up at the home, two of them brandishing "blunt articles and a bladed article" before attacking the residents with it.

The victim, a 41-year-old Pembroke man, suffered minor cuts to his right hand and left arm. The home and a vehicle parked outside were damaged.

The suspects were able to flee, however, one man was subsequently arrested in connection with the incident and a vehicle believed to have been used by the suspects was impounded by officers.
