Cards never made it December 17, 1999
I have been visiting Bermuda since 1969 and always send my friends and family postcards with greetings from Bermuda which they have come to look forward to receiving.
I was here in June, 1999 and sent 30 cards. I posted these at the Perot Post Office, Hamilton. I affixed 75 cents stamps for air mail which the clerk said was the correct rate.
Subsequent to my visit, six friends have not received my postcards posted in June and were most disappointed. They thought I had not sent them any Postcards and another friend received a card in September, three months after the time I had posted it.
I complained to my local general post office in England. They said the problem was in Bermuda.
If this is the case, it is a great shame Bermuda is losing out on this free publicity.
