Parish hit for nine on official exit
David's in fine fashion with a nine-goal drubbing of relegated Hamilton Parish.
The Blazers though looked less than at their best in the first half as they could only manage to score twice. But the floodgates opened in the second, with the FA Cup semifinalists finding the net seven more times before the final whistle.
Hamilton Parish were unlucky in the early minutes of the match when they had the chance to open the scoring after referee Gregory Belboda awarded them a penalty.
But stand-in goalkeeper Dean Boyles was up to the task as he beautifully saved the weak effort of Kacey Simons. This proved to be the last real chance for Parish as Boulevard dominated the rest of the match.
After missing at least five clear chances to score, the Blazers finally found the net midway through the half when Carlos Pearman blasted a vicious shot past Walter Brangman in the Parish goal. In the very last minute of the half Dwight Warren notched the first goal of his hat-trick with a fine shot from the left.
Having completely dominated the first half and only coming up with two goals, the Blazers' recent lack of finishing power was evident. But as the second half began it was also evident that coach Gary Mallory had lighted a fire under his players. They approached the game with more purpose and penetrated the porous Parish defence at will.
Only three minutes after the restart Vernon Symonds pounced on the rebound from his own point-blank shot and scored easily past the helpless 'keeper. The next goal came from the penalty spot after Warren had been fouled in the area by Franklyn Simons. Johnny Boyles made no mistake, calmly scoring past Brangman.
At this point the goals came fast and furious and Brangman spent the majority of his time picking the ball out of the back of his net. Pearman scored his second goal when he collected a long pass from Amon Brown and rammed it home from close range.
Warren was as tireless as ever in creating havoc for the Parish defence. He directed a well-taken header at goal and saw the ball come off the upright right into the path of Hill who scored easily.
Only moments later and two minutes apart, Warren notched his other two goals with fine efforts that left the 'keeper grasping at air. Hill closed out the scoring late in the match when he once again found the net from close range.
