Girl, 9, hurt in bike collision>A motorcyclist was involved in a collision with a nine-year-old girl as she crossed the road.

The incident happened at 4 p.m. on Thursday in Palmetto Road, Devonshire, near the junction with Trackside Lane.

A Bermuda Police Service spokesman said: "It appears that the motorcycle was traveling west on Palmetto Road behind a car when the car stopped to allow a pedestrian across the road.

"The motorcycle avoided colliding with the car but instead collided with the pedestrian, a nine-year-old girl. She sustained a sprained right knee.

"The rider of the motorcycle, a 24-year-old Pembroke man, was not injured and the motorcycle did not receive any damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway."

Truck overturns on North Shore Road

An overturned truck caused traffic havoc in Smith's yesterday.

Police were called to the scene, in North Shore Road near Store Hill, at 1.25 p.m.

A Bermuda Police Service spokesman said: "As a result there were traffic delays in the area; however the vehicle involved was subsequently removed from the scene and normal traffic flow resumed.

"Inquiries into this incident are underway."
