Two women in their 80s were involved in a car crash that saw their vehicle overturn in Paget. Both women were examined at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital (KEMH) as a precaution following Wednesday’s accident, but later released.A police spokesman said two cars collided in the incident, which took place around 4.30pm.“It appears that a car was travelling along Berry Hill Road and another car was exiting (KEMH) property when the vehicles collided,” he said.“As a result one of the cars struck a wall and ended up overturned in the hospital staff parking lot, extensively damaged. The other car involved in the collision received relatively minor damage. In addition, an unoccupied parked car in the staff parking lot was damaged.“The driver of the overturned car, a 32-year-old Hamilton Parish woman, was not injured. Her passengers, two female senior citizens, were also uninjured. However the women, reportedly in their 80s, were examined at the hospital as a precaution and later released. The driver of the second car involved, a 72-year-old Devonshire man, was not hurt.”
