Grocery was remanded in custody for two weeks yesterday.

Ronald Raymond Wilson, 25, will reappear in court on July 27 after facing three charges relating to the June 29 robbery.

Wilson, of Friswells Road, Devonshire, is accused of being armed with a machete and trying to rob cashier Leone Woolridge.

He is also charged with unlawfully wounding co-owner Anthony Aguiar, intending to cause grievous bodily harm.

Senior Magistrate Will Francis, reading the charges, said Wilson was also accused of disguising himself by wearing a face mask with intent to commit the crime.

Wilson was not required to plead to the charges, which could be tried in the Supreme Court.

Defence lawyer Peter Farge made no application for bail.
