Bermuda-based First Atlantic Commerce has partnered with a company that can help its clients more readily protect against fraudulent online and offline credit card transactions.

First Atlantic (FAC) said this week that its "strategic alliance" was with iShopSecure, which provides real-time authentication solutions.

FAC said its clients could now have access to iShopSecure's service "to facilitate quality cardholder identification and fraud protection" when processing transactions.

The end result, according to FAC, was that "consumers are not only prevented from committing credit card fraud during checkout, but their ability to present chargebacks is reduced."

FAC CEO Andrea Wilson said: "iShopSecure solutions will afford our customers authenticated transactions and further reduce the risk of fraud and chargebacks.

"iShopSecure's turnkey solutions serve as an enhancement to our risk management portfolio, and we are pleased to be able to offer these services to our sophisticated client base," she said.
