Kevin Llewellyn Johnston, 33, of Spanish View Road, Smith's, pleaded guilty before Senior Magistrate the Wor. Will Francis.

Sgt. Rex Osborne, prosecuting, told Mr. Francis that on December 9 last year, Police received complaints that a man was seen naked at Astwood Cove. They arrived to find Johnston lying nude on a beach towel.

When confronted Johnston replied: "Am I insulting someone?'' Sgt. Osborne said that Johnston had appeared on the same charge last September.

Johnston said that it was up to court to find a way to deal with his "addiction.'' "I'm like an addict,'' he said. "Maybe what I did wasn't wilful. What do you suggest I do? All the government does is take money from people in fines or sends them to prison. I have an addiction.'' Mr. Francis remanded Johnston in custody until January 25, and ordered a psychiatric and social inquiry report.
