The Maltese-registered refrigerated fruit carrier Kiwi berthed at Penno's Wharf while en route from the Dominican Republic to Ireland.

The crew members were taken off the ship immediately upon landing and the Kiwi continued its voyage on Tuesday morning.

In other shipping news, Meyer reported that the Bermuda Islander arrived Monday afternoon with 71 dry containers and seven refrigerated containers.

She also unloaded three horses before leaving for Salem, New Jersey on Tuesday morning.

Bermuda Container Ship Management spokesman Mr. Skip Lewis said the Oleander arrived on Sunday and departed on Tuesday after unloading 145 dry containers and 40 refrigerated containers.

She also unloaded eight cars, two 40-foot maffis containing assorted items, a 40-foot container of steel and an oxygen truck for King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

Capt. Moore said the Norwegian freighter Trones was due to arrive at Penno's Wharf tomorrow with 11,000 tons of stone from Canada.

He said the ship would leave on Saturday because it took about 18 hours to discharge her cargo.
