Lobster Pot closed for revamp
The Lobster Pot and Boat House Bar restaurant is closed for two weeks so it can undergo renovations.
Workers have been taking out walls and windows and gutting the interior of the popular seafood eatery over the past two days.
Yesterday, the restaurant's office manager Lynda Johnson said the Lobster Pot would reopen on August 17. She said the work involved changing the look of the interior, enlarging the windows to allow more natural light into the Bermudiana Road restaurant and equipping the veranda to host year-round dining.
The Lobster Pot, with its cedar-panelled walls and nautical theme, has enjoyed enduring popularity since it opened in 1973.
"Because we're such an established restaurant, everyone is so excited to see what it is going to look like," Ms Johnson said. "We'll also be making some changes to our menu."
