Sailor Lewin in the hunt at Worlds

The 26-year-old skipper remains in second place after five days of women's match racing competition, held as part of the ISAF World Sailing Championships.

Lewin and her all-Bermuda crew of Peta Lewin, Leatrice Roman and Lisa Neasham had posted an 11-2 mark after yesterday's round-robin action at the Dubai International Marine Club.

Lewin had been unbeaten but lost twice yesterday and now trails only Denmark, skippered by Dorte Jensen, who moved from second to first with 12 wins and two defeats. Overnight leaders the Netherlands, who lost three times yesterday, slid to third place with 11 wins and four losses. Light winds have delayed several races.

Jensen is first out of 21 boats on the basis of average points (.86 to Lewin's .85), while the Netherlands' Klaartje Zuiderbaan is third.

Final day of the round-robin is today, with semi-finals on Thursday and the final on Friday.
