Adams keeps Colts out
In a game marred by two sending offs in the second half -- Dennis Davis of BAA and Aljame Zuill of Colts -- neither team had the finishing touch to snatch victory during this First Division encounter at Frog Lane.
But for some superb saves in the second half by goalkeeper Dwayne Adams, Colts might have won it.
However BAA, during isolated attacks after the interval, were able to create openings in the defence and still threatened when the going seemed to be rough.
Such an occasion occurred after 71 minutes during a counter attack that saw striker Tillman Darrell astonishingly miskick from close range and watch in agony as the defence cleared the ball.
BAA's other chances came earlier when Cleve Crichlow put a good effort from the edge of the box just over and Duncan Ashworth sent another high from 16 yards out.
Otherwise Colts called the tune of play, coming close to scoring early when skipper Ellington Weldon sent a scorching drive from 16 yards which Adams collected after diving to his right.
But this effort after just 14 seconds wasn't a sign of things to come as Colts struggled up front, rarely showing any cohesion.
BAA suffered a setback after 14 minutes when centre half Norman Correia was injured and replaced by substitute Paul Franco, forcing them to switch midfielder Meshach Wade to centre half where he proved outstanding.
Lack of success caused the Colts' forwards to become frustrated and the resulting long-distance shooting saw Craig and Keishon Smith put shots over the goal.
Wade himself had a good effort thwarted just before the break when his header was in turn headed away by right full-back Makonnen Hollis.
Adams' heroics were at the fore after 51 minutes when he brilliantly tipped a header by Zuill over after the young forward had received a cross from player-coach Lorenzo Symonds.
Keishon Smith sent a hard drive over from 16 yards and Craig Smith drove a hot shot that Adams was in position to smother as Colts pushed forward with against their 10-man opponents.
In a counter attack Darrell miskicked to prevent BAA from taking the lead after 71 minutes and three minutes later Davis was sent off for kicking Marvin Lewis.
Adams denied Weldon after 75 minutes, diving sensationally to push the skipper's header for a corner. Then Adams proved his agility once again by pushing Craig Smith's blast from 15 yards wide of the post.
Zuill got his marching orders after 85 minutes for persistent arguing with the referee.
