Games rescheduled
second half of the season gets set to start this weekend.
This Sunday will see four Premier Division matches following the previous decision to switch matches from Thursday and Friday. The Vasco-Wolves match, originally scheduled for tomorrow, will now be played on Sunday at BAA Field, while the PHC-North Village match which was originally scheduled for Friday night at PHC Stadium will now be held at Somerset.
PHC's home matches for the first three months of the season were played at Somerset in the anticipation that their own ground would be available for the second half of the season. But repair work at the ground won't be completed before the end of the season so the Zebras will continue using Somerset for home matches. Tomorrow's lone First Division match at Devonshire Rec. between the Cougars and Prospect, will now start at 8.00, while the First Division encounter on Sunday between St. George's and Ireland Rangers will be at Malabar field.
Cougars' only loss in the league was to Prospect and victory tomorrow night would enable them to reclaim first place from Young Men's Social Club.
Next Tuesday's Friendship and Shield matches have been put back to next Thursday and switched to Devonshire Rec. to clear that date for the friendly match between the Bermuda senior team and Canada. The Thursday matches will see Social Club playing Prospect at 7.00 and North Village meeting Wolves in the 9.00 fixture.
BFA technical director Clyde Best confirmed yesterday that Kenny Thompson and Scott Morton will coach the national under-15 squad.
